“It was a long day with an early start, but that was necessary to have the opportunity to get a taste of four of the five villages of Cinque Terre, especially in light of the large crowds still present on an overcast day in October. Our guide, John, was great, but our one complaint was that we signed up and paid for a “small group of no more than 12 people”, only to find that our group numbered 22 people and we traveled on a full size bus back and forth to Cinque Terre. This inevitably diluted our interactions with our guide and no doubt made his job more difficult…”

The afternoon lunch was delicious as well. Our small group got along well and shared many stories. I would reccomend this tour!”

“We booked this tour as a cruise ship excursion alternative. Max was ready at the cruise port with a sign, so easy to find. It was a private van tour, just for our family of three. Max knew the area very well, in fact took a detour when traffic was stopped, so that we didn’t miss our Pisa tour time. He led us in so as to ask any questions in Italian, so that we were led to the proper locations. Our tour time at Pisa though was in our own, separate purchase for tickets in advance. We then went to Florence, again Max shared many details about the history…”
